IGS was founded in 2013, bringing together decades of combined farming and engineering experience. We built an agritech business focused on advancing crop production through vertical farming technology.

We have three sites across Scotland, located in Edinburgh, Inverkeithing, and Invergowrie. Since our inception, we’ve focused on bringing together the best and brightest minds to form our team, creating a culture based on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.

Work-life balance

  • Hybrid working model – this combines time on-site with remote working, recognising the value of both
  • 35 days annual leave
  • time off for volunteering, study, and development
  • a day off for your birthday

Pension

  • Our pension provider is The People’s Pension. You will be enrolled automatically when you join, with the option to opt out
  • IGS contributes 6%, with an additional 3% coming from your salary. You can increase your contributions at any time. Salary sacrifice is also available

Salary

  • We offer a market-competitive salary that grows with your responsibilities and performance. Salaries are reviewed at least annually

Private health insurance

  • Private medical cover is available for you and your family, giving you access to care when you need it

Income protection

  • if you experience long-term illness, we provide 50% of your basic salary after 13 weeks of absence
  • we also offer death in service cover. If you pass away while employed by IGS, four times your basic salary will be paid to a nominated beneficiary

Volunteering

  • we encourage employees to give back to local communities, helping charities, causes or programmes that are important to them
  • this includes STEM talks, charitable matching, and charitable payroll giving

Company sick pay

  • if you are unable to work due to illness, we provide up to four weeks of full sick pay each year

Cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes

  • you can access up to 39% off a new bike and accessories through our Cycle to Work scheme and pay nothing upfront. Payments are taken from your salary in a tax-efficient way
  • we offer an electric vehicle (EV) leasing scheme through Octopus Electric Vehicles, supporting more sustainable travel. Through salary sacrifice, you can lease a zero-emission vehicle over two, three or four years. The package includes insurance, servicing, maintenance, and road tax
