IGS is delighted to open its Crop Research Centre doors to CEA Alliance members keen to gain a greater understanding of the business’ vertical farming technology.
Please join IGS for this special tour for CEA Alliance members, encompassing the very best Scotland has to offer: from indoor growing technology and first-class horticultural research, through to hospitality, food and drink.
Co-located with the internationally renowned James Hutton Institute just outside Dundee, Scotland, the IGS Crop Research Centre is at the heart of the business’ commitment to science-led innovation.
The site brings together plant science, agronomy, and data‑driven trials to push forward research of growing within a controlled environment, as well as optimising crop growth for IGS customers.

Outline agenda
9.30am – collection from Moxy Hotel, Edinburgh Airport, travel to IGS’ Crop Research Centre (attendees are encouraged either to stay overnight at Moxy Edinburgh Airport or use it as a meeting point on arrival to the airport in the morning)
10.30am – Introduction to IGS and Tour of IGS’ Crop Research Centre
12.30pm – lunch
1.30pm – tour of the James Hutton Institute, including the Advanced Plant Growth Centre
2.30pm – Q&A session with IGS team members
3.30pm – return travel to Edinburgh city centre (recommended hotels: Apex Waterloo Place or Market Street Hotel)
7pm – dinner and optional whisky tasting
Should you wish to extend your time in Scotland, the IGS team would be delighted to offer recommendations for itineraries, must-see destinations, or even help arrange golfing trips.
Spaces are limited. Attendees are required to arrange their own travel* to Edinburgh and accommodation in the city. Return travel to Dundee from Edinburgh and evening hospitality will be provided by IGS.
