That’s a wrap on this year's LuxLive event. It’s been a busy couple of days, and we’ve enjoyed some great conversations with people from all sorts of organisations.

It’s the first time we’ve had the opportunity to showcase the versatility and flexibility of our modular Intelligent Grid Solutions product, and we couldn’t have asked for better feedback. We know that our three-phase intelligent rig doesn’t look like what people have come to expect of commercial lighting, and that’s exactly why we’re so proud of it. By coming at the challenge of smart technology integration from a totally fresh vantage point, we have a product that is a real conversation starter.

Thanks to the organisers of LuxLive, we also had chance to engage with the sector on a broader scale, enjoying a wide variety of talks on topics from smart cities to lighting that encourages wellbeing.

One of the core messages coming out throughout the show was that technology cannot be integrated for technology’s sake. We must constantly be challenging decisions, asking ‘why?’ and aiming to work backwards, using the delivery of a solution as a starting point rather than merely taking the available technology. That is absolutely a way of thinking we at IGS pride ourselves on, and we’ve come away from LuxLive feeling buoyed up for the next phase of our journey.
