Csaba Hornyik
Grew up and educated in Hungary; I graduated in chemistry and biology, and gained a PhD in biology, plant biotechnology from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. I was awarded with an EU fellowship to come to Scotland. I studied molecular plant virology, plant defence responses, and later plant and flower development. As a former Hutton scientist, I focused on potato quality and quantity traits in the past years to develop and improve novel varieties. I am married with twin boys and we spend our time together going to running meets or football games. I like hill walking and wild flowers.
