IGS has been awarded the ‘Growth and Scale’ prize at the Fieldays Innovation Awards. The annual awards celebrate the best of innovation in the agriculture sector, with categories also available for prototype and early stage innovations.

The winners were unveiled during the Fieldays event held in Hamilton, New Zealand.  Due to travel restrictions, members of the IGS team were unable to attend the event in person therefore the award was accepted by team members from British High Commission in Wellington who were representing IGS at the show.

Fieldays is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event and is globally renowned as a launch platform for cutting edge technology and innovation. The event provides a platform for inventors and innovative companies to launch and develop their ideas, while educating Fieldays visitors on the latest developments in the industry. Innovation has been at the heart of Fieldays since its inception over 50 years ago.

IGS faced tough competition in the category, with judges remarking on the high caliber of entries received this year. The awards were judged based on a combination of written applications and a judging panel interview with IGS CEO, David Farquhar.

David Farquhar, CEO of IGS, commented: ‘We were delighted to receive this prestigious award. The recognition which comes from Fieldays, and particularly the vast and experienced agricultural and food producing communities within New Zealand and the wider region is very significant.”
