I have been fascinated by the natural world all my life and pursued a career in science to better my understanding of it. I completed my BSc in Infectious Disease at Edinburgh University before obtaining my PhD in Molecular Microbiology with Prof. Nicola Stanley-Wall in Dundee. It was at this point I switched to industry via the KTP-Innovate program, working to develop a microbial risk assessment for the IGS Growth Tower with Dr Nicola Holden. Now working as a Research Scientist at IGS, I'm delivering projects over a wide range of subjects and disciplines - but I still have a soft spot for all things microbial. When I'm not science-ing, I enjoy wild camping and photography.
